If you count the Bug type Gym as part Grass, seeing as how many of the Pokemon are half grass and half bug, Oshawott would be weak and Tepig would be strong. It's strong against one gym and weak against one other. The best choice when it comes to type alone is Oshawott. The same could be said with Tepig who is strong against one and weak against three once it evolves to Fighting / Fire. It has a Type disadvantage to three of the eight Gyms, and is only strong against one. When it comes to facing the eight Gyms of Unova, Snivy may be the worst choice of the three. Those two aren't much higher than Emboar's lowest stats, but it still makes Samurott the best choice for well rounded stats. The next highest stat is defense, and the lowest are special defense and speed. The next highest stat is the Attack stat and HP stat, which are nearly the same. The Special Attack doesn't get as high as Emboar's Attack stat, but it's not far behind. Samurott is a pretty well rounded Pokemon when it comes to stats, but it's Special Attack is the highest of all its stats. Like Snivy, Oshawott will remain a pure water type throughout it's evolutionary chain. At level 16, it evolves into water type Dewott. At level 36, Oshawott will evolve into the well rounded Samurott. Oshawott is the Water-Type Otter Pokemon. Some say a good offense is a good defense. Of course, Emboar will be completely open to attacks. As you can see, Emboar is the best choice for an all out physical offense. Its Defense, Special Defense, and Speed are all tied for worse, which are nearly half compared to its Attack stat. Remember, dual types are like a double edged sword.Įmboar's Attack stat is the best out of all six stats, followed closely by HP and then Special Attack. While evolving, it will gain the Fighting-Type trait along with Fire. At level 16, it evolves into fire-fighting type Pignite. At level 36, Tepig will evolve to the powerful Emboar. Use Serperior for more defensive strategies without having to worry about striking last.
It would not be a great choice if you want an all out attacking Pokemon.
Serperior's Speed Stat trumps all other stats, followed by its Defense and Special Defense stats. At level 36, Snivy will evolve to the super fast pokemon Serperior. At level 16, it evolves into grass type Servine.
